COMPOSITION:
Each ml contains:
| Oxytetracycline HCl |
50 mg |
MODE OF ACTION:
Oxytetracycline blocks or alters protein
synthesis in bacterial cell – This blockage is done by binding
at the 30-S ribosomal unit. This attachment of oxytetracycline is
a reversible binding to ribosomal unit causing a bacteriostatic
effect.
INDICATIONS:
Infections caused by:
Gram- Positive : Staphylococci, Listeria.
Gram- Negative: Pasteurella, Brucella, Vibrio cholera,
E. coli, Salmonella.
Others: Mycoplasma, Rickettsiae, Chlamydiae and
conditions like Pneumonia, Bronchitis, Mastitis, Metritis, Urinary
tract infections, Fowl cholera, Coryza and CRD etc.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
Deep i.m injection only

CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
- Not for i.v administration.
- Occasional local reaction may occur.
- Do not dilute the injection.
- Do not mix with other injections.
SIDE EFFECTS:
TERRASYM -50 is well tolerated but occasionally a slight & transient
reaction may be observed at the injection site.
