MODE OF ACTION:
Trisym is bacteriostatic and acts by blocking
two stages in the synthesis of folinic acid by the bacteria. It
is effective against most of the Gram negative and Gram positive
microbes.
INDICATIONS:
- Trisym has wide range of activity and is
particularly indicated in acute and sub-acute
conditions.
- Trisym is most effective in Gastro-intestinal
infections like Gastritis, Enteritis both of bacterial and non-bacterial
origin.
- Trisym is of great value in certain diseases
of Respiratory System, like Laryngitis, Bronchitis, Pneumonia
etc.
- Trisym is most effective in Fowl Cholera,
Rhinitis, Otitis, all kinds of dry or suppurative wounds.
- Trisym is of great importance in Uro-genital
infections, e.g., Cystitis, Nephritis, Urethritis, Metritis, and
Mastitis etc.
- Trisym is particularly used in infections
due to E. coli, Corynebacterium spp., Proteus spp. Haemophilus,
Pasteurella and Salmonella spp.
- Trisym is a specific treatment against
skin infections, dermatitis, interdigital abscesses and post-operative
infections.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
This suspension is administrated
orally
HORSE & CATTLE |
2-4 ml via drinking water per 80-100 kg b.wt. |
POULTRY |
1 ml per 5 litres of drinking water to be administered for
5 days. |
PRECAUTIONS:
1. Shake well before
use.
2. Use medicated water within 24 hours of preparation.
