NICLOSYM
.......................................................................................................................................
(Powder)
FOR TAPE WORM INFESTATION

COMPOSITION:

Each 100g contains:

Niclosamide 75 g

MODE OF ACTION:

The parasites are killed as soon as they come in contact with the active substance of NICLOSYM.
NICLOSYM distinctly affects the cestode metabolism with increased accumulation of metabolic intermediate and end products. Maceration of the proliferation zone is seen about an hour after treatment, which is followed by detachment of the scolex. Scolex and segments succumb soon afterwards. The whole chain of proglottides loses its support and is excreted with the faeces in one piece or in segments. When passing through the intestines, the scolices succumbing first and thus being sensitive to the intestinal juices, along with the younger segments are very often partly or completely digested, and are therefore no longer demonstrable in the faeces. Parts of the tapeworm can be observed only if they are excreted soon after treatment. The expulsion is usually finished after 48 hours of treatment.

INDICATIONS:

  • NICLOSYM is especially recommended for infestations caused by Moniezia spp., Thysaniezia spp., Stilesia globipunctata, Avitellina spp.
