MODE OF ACTION:

MEPYRAMINE MALEATE is a specific antihistaminic substance having antagonistic effect against histamines due to its affinity for the receptor cells.
Along with this antihistaminic effect, Meprasym has marked local anaesthetic action & reduces the capillary permeability.

INDICATIONS:

• Allergic diseases
• Shocks following surgery or trauma
• Intestinal congestion
• Extensive burns
• Pulmonary oedema
• Serum sickness
• Food poisoning (lathytism , fagopyrism & botulism)
• Laminitis, Azoturia, Urticaria and other allergic conditions

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
Unless otherwise prescribed, the following dosages are recommended i.m or i.v:

In severe cases dose can be repeated twice or thrice a day.
