COMPOSITION:
Each ml contains:
Gentamycin Sulphate equivalent to Gentamycin
base |

MODE OF ACTION:
- Gentamycin Sulphate belongs to aminoglycoside
family. It blocks or alters protein synthesis in bacterial cell
– This blockage is done by binding at 30-S ribosomal unit.
This attachment of Gentamycin to ribosomal unit is irreversible
resulting in bactericidal effect.
- GENTASYM covers Gram positive bacteria
i.e Staphylococci and Streptococci.
- GENTASYM especially covers Gram negative
microbes i.e E.coli, Salmonella, Bordetella, Proteus, Pseudomonas,
Pasteurella multocida.
INDICATIONS:
HORSE ,CATTLE, SHEEP,
GOAT, DOG ,CAT |
Laryngitis, Bronchitis, Pneumonia, H.S, Mastitis, Metritis,
Naval ill, Foot ill, Urinary tract infections. In viral infections
to prevent from secondary infections. |
POULTRY |
E. coli infections,
salmonellosis, coryza, laryngitis, nephritis and protection
from post vaccination stress.

GENTASYM should be administered s.c &
i.m. twice a day.
SIDE EFFECTS:
In long term therapy aminoglycosides have
nephrotoxic and ototoxic effects.
WITHDRAWAL TIME:
Milk- 3 days, Meat- 7 days
